Using HackerBrewery
HackerBrewery is a place to practice coding problems and work on them with friends in shared rooms. You can use most of it without an account. By using the site you agree to these terms.
Be decent to the people at your table. Don’t use rooms to harass anyone, share content you don’t have the right to share, attack the service, or try to get around limits like room size. We can close rooms or accounts that break these rules.
Your work
Code you write here is yours. We store drafts and progress so you can come back to them, and we show your code to other people in a room only when you choose to share it. Problems, hints, and sample cases are ours or used with permission, and are for personal practice.
Pro subscriptions
Pro is an optional paid plan. It costs $8 per month or $72 per year, in US dollars, plus any taxes that apply where you live. Prices are shown before you subscribe and can change for future billing periods with notice.
New subscribers get a 7-day free trial. A payment method is required to start the trial, and the first charge happens when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled.
You can cancel anytime from your account page. Cancelling stops future charges and keeps Pro until the end of the period you already paid for. Switching from monthly to yearly takes effect right away and you pay only the difference; switching from yearly to monthly starts at your next renewal.
If Pro isn’t for you, email us within 14 days of your first payment and we will refund it in full. Renewals after that are not refunded, which is why we send reminders and let you cancel in one click.
Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
Rooms
Shared rooms are temporary. Free rooms close 24 hours after they are created and Pro rooms after 7 days, and their chat and shared solutions are deleted at that point. Hosts can delete a room earlier.
The service
We work hard to keep HackerBrewery up, but it is provided as is, without warranties, and we may change or discontinue features. Our liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the past 12 months. We may update these terms; when the change matters we will say so on the site.
